4 Android applications that help my online business (Part 1)

As an Internet publisher (and a rather new one at that) I like to have access to tools that help me keep track of business on the run. Whether I’m trying a new advertising campaign, or just know that recent news has increase interest in my products, having these applications have helped me keep my sanity when I’m not at my PC.

WordPress for Android

Application: WordPressWordPressWordPress
Publisher:  WordPress
Price: Free

Description:
WordPress for Android is an Open Source app that empowers you to write new posts, edit content, and manage comments with built-in notifications. Download it now and get blogging in no time. WordPress for Android supports both WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress (2.7 or higher) blogs. (Taken from the Market description)

Introduction:
In the world of online websites, WordPress has long been a name that stands out.  Whether you use the system for a blogging platform, a news system, or a static website CMS, you’ll find it easy to you and highly supported.  But we’re not here to talk about WordPress, are we?  Likeliness is, if you’re reading this, you’re already sold on WordPress.  I know that I could honestly never sit down on my phone and type up a whole review, or even a whole blog article. However, I’ve found this app nice for managing comments and writing up short blog posts (like, if I’m at a restaurant and want to add something to my weight loss blog, for instance).

It also allows for photo uploads to your blog posts, so using this for photoblogging purposes isn’t out of the question.  Updating or adding pages is as easy as going to the page tab of the application and hitting the + (plus) button.

Pros:
Supports multiple WordPress blogs
Add and edit pages and blog entries
Photo uploading

Cons:
Blogging on a phone keyboard/touchscreen keyboard

Features Rating: ★★★★★
Speed Rating: ★★★★★
Stability Rating: ★★★★★
Overall Rating: ★★★★★

Final Thoughts:
I love the app.  I couldn’t possibly rate it less than a 5.  It’s just too useful if you run WordPress.
